


























Suemay is Documentary Director based in London. She focuses on strong character-led narrative films and has directed and produced single films and premium documentary series for ESPN Films, Netflix, HBO Max, Apple TV, BBC, Channel 4 and Discovery.
Suemay’s feature documentary STOLEN GOLD for ESPN’S iconic “30 FOR 30” aired on ESPN FILMS in September 2024 and has been nominated for a IDA “Best TV Feature Documentary” Award and a Banff Rockie Award for “Best Sports Documentary”
In 2024, Suemay was the Showrunner and Co-Exec Producer at Box to Box Films on the premium Netflix sport docuseries, SPRINT which charts the stories of the World’s Fastest Humans and their lead up to the Paris 2024 Olympics.
Breaking4 - a partnership between Box to Box Films and Nike is her latest directing project.
It will air on Amazon Prime on the 20th of June 2025.
Suemay worked with Box To Box Films to direct a groundbreaking new project in partnership with Nike, documenting Olympic champion Faith Kipyegon’s quest to become the first woman in history to run a mile in under four minutes. The project combines a two-part documentary with a live-streamed event, both debuting exclusively on Amazon Prime Video.

SPRINT: THE WORLD’S FASTEST HUMANS (2 seasons) is a premium documentary series in association with World Athletics and the International Olympic Committee.
It garnered over 10 million viewing hours in its first week and ranked as a Top 10 show in 32 countries.
Suemay series directed & co-wrote this 4 part series over the course of 15 months for HBO Max between London and Rio de Janeiro. The documentary focuses on the spectacular story of the rise and fall of Flordelis, a Brazilian congresswoman, mother to 55 children, preacher and gospel singer. Accused of masterminding her husband’s murder we followed her as she prepared for her trial.
The films are executive produced by Leanne Klein, Diene Petterle and Ralph Perring. Co-Directed by Mauricio Monteiro Filho who also DOP’s alongside the fabulous Janice D’Avila. The lead editors are Samuel R. Santana and Livia Serpa. Lead Producer is Fernando Mitjans and Producer in Rio is Vivian Salgueiro. The Original Score is by David Schweitzer and Graphics by Blue Spill.
The series was a co-produciton between Wall to Wall, Petterle Films and Viva Productions.

Televisual: How We Made It : Nutopia’s Mafia Doc Series for Netflix.
Suemay directed the first two films in this new Netflix series that focuses on the the investigators behind America’s biggest serial killer cases. The first episode, ”Bodycount”, tells the story of 3 detectives’ heartfelt journey to find the Green River Killer in Washington State. The second, “Manhunter”, focuses on the hunt for the infamous female killer Aileen Wuornos in Florida.
The films are a blend of archive, present day interviews, actuality and drama. Suemay directed the drama on location in October Studios, Norfolk.

Each episode is a rich exploration of the characters on a journey to incredible surfing locations across the globe. The docuseries will dive into different surfing cultures, as well as timely subjects tied to the sport including eco-conservation, sustainability and marine preservation.
Suemay edit directed episode 2 with editor Sam Billinge and worked on crafting a style for the series.
